![]() ![]() Reloading is a blast too, just shake the remote like you're pumping a shotgun and you're back in business. For me on all the versions of Dolphin in RE4 Wii there is the occasional crash after talking on the video comms. Not instead of regular saves but as an accompaniment to them. It makes the beginning of 2-2 far more playable than all the other versions. Being able to freely aim via onscreen crosshairs takes a lot of guesswork out of shooting - we think it works even better than the original version's laser sight. It's the best version for Resident Evil 4 Wii that I've found. Holding the B trigger raises your upgradeable, customizable guns, and hitting A makes whatever you're pointing at die a grizzly, bloody death. Even though every item, every bug-headed villager is in the exact same place as it was in 2005, the precision aiming of the Wii Remote drags you into Leon's insane world even more than the GC/PS2 versions. The Wii-centric controls, oddly enough, make this aging classic feel a bit new. And you know what? It's still a satisfying, gore-splattered freakshow that's unlike any other game on a Nintendo platform. No enhanced graphics, no "new to Wii" modes, just the same damn game you've probably beaten two or three times by now. ![]() Now, in friggin' 2007, Wii gets the PS2 version plus some wiggle-waggle controls - and that's it. Is there anything left to say about Resident Evil 4? It came out more than two years ago, astonished GameCube owners for about a month and then went into hibernation until the PS2 port launched later in 2005 with bonus goodies galore.
